Self-propelled forage harvester machine harvesting corn silage in a wide field and loading a trailer through its spout

Forage Harvester Machine Cut, Chop & Load in One Pass

Harvest whole-plant corn, sorghum and other high-stalk crops straight from the field. One machine cuts the standing crop without row alignment, chops and kernel-processes it, then throws it straight into the trailer alongside — so your feed reaches the silo fresh, fast and ready to pack.

Product Introduction

What Is the Golden Machinery Forage Harvester?

Our forage harvester is a self-propelled silage machine powered by a 180 PS engine with hydrostatic four-wheel drive. Instead of cutting crops by hand or hauling whole stalks to a stationary chaff cutter, it harvests and chops the standing crop directly in the field — turning a multi-step, labor-heavy job into one continuous operation.

Every unit leaves our factory in the same proven configuration, so you get a machine whose performance is already tested — not an experiment. Your choice is simply how you put it to work.

  • Twin-disc header cuts without row alignmentCuts whole-plant corn, sorghum and other high-stalk crops across a 2.44 m working width, whatever the planting pattern.
  • Drum cutter and kernel processorA 580 mm drum with 9 movable blades chops to an even length, then the processor plate cracks kernels and stalk nodes.
  • Throwing spout loads the trailer alongsideA secondary blower throws forage more than 18 m through a spout that turns 200°, so the truck can follow on either side.
  • Enclosed cab with camera viewsSingle multi-function handle, rear-view camera and spout camera keep the operator in control through long harvest days.

The Golden Machinery Experience

See why farms and contractors choose our forage harvester when the silage window is short.

One-Pass Harvesting

Cut, chop, kernel-process and load in a single trip. The secondary blower throws forage more than 18 m into the trailer running alongside.

No Row Alignment Needed

The twin-disc header cuts across its full 2.44 m width in any planting pattern — no slowing down to follow rows, even in uneven fields.

Better-Digested Silage

The kernel processor plate cracks over 90% of kernels and 96% of stalk nodes, so cattle convert more of every tonne into milk and meat.

One-Touch Anti-Blocking

Split-flow feeding keeps crop moving, and if a jam starts, the electric reverse clears it from the cab with one touch — no climbing down.

180 PS, Hydrostatic 4WD

A 130 kW engine with stepless hydrostatic drive and four-wheel drive keeps steady working speed in soft, wet or sloping fields.

Lifetime Spare Parts

Quality, fairly priced spare parts for the life of every machine, plus 3–4 week delivery in seaworthy wooden-case packing for export buyers.

Simplify Your Silage Harvest

Silage workflow after the forage harvester: uniformly chopped forage, even spreading, firm packing and sealed storage
Uniform chopping from the harvester makes every step after it easier.

Keep the Harvest Moving

The header, feed rollers and chopping drum work as one continuous line. Standing crop goes in at the front and chopped forage is thrown straight into the trailer. If a blockage starts, one touch reverses the feed system from the cab. Your crew stays focused on hauling and packing, not cutting.

Connect the Field to the Silo

Freshly chopped, evenly sized forage spreads and compacts faster in the bunker or pit, so you can seal sooner and lose less dry matter. Learn more in our guide to corn silage timing, chopping and storage. Harvesting dry stalks instead? Pair it with our straw kneading machine to turn them into soft, palatable feed, and complete the ration with a feed crusher that grinds corn and grain into concentrate.

Whole-Plant Corn Silage

Harvest maize at the right maturity and chop the whole plant — stalk, leaf and cob — into energy-rich silage for dairy and beef cattle.

High-stalk silage crops for the forage harvester: whole-plant maize and forage sorghum among other forage samples

Forage & Sweet Sorghum

The twin-disc header handles tall sorghum and other high-stalk crops just as well as corn, so one machine works across more crops and more months.

90%+ Kernel Processing

The kernel processor plate cracks kernels and stalk nodes, reaching over 90% kernel crushing and 96% node breaking for better digestibility.

Forage, Not Just Grain

A combine keeps the grain and leaves the stalk. A forage harvester captures the whole plant as feed — more tonnes of usable ration from every hectare.

Farms, Growers & Contractors

Dairy farms secure their own feed, forage growers sell silage, and contractors earn from custom harvesting — one machine supports all three business models.

Forage Harvester FAQ

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask before harvest season.

What crops can this forage harvester machine harvest?

It is built for whole-plant corn (maize) silage, forage and sweet sorghum, and other high-stalk crops, harvested green or as dry stalks. The twin-disc header cuts without row alignment, so your planting pattern does not matter. Tell us your main crop and we will confirm it suits your fields before you order.

How is a forage harvester different from a chaff cutter?

A forage harvester works in the field — it cuts the standing crop and chops it in one pass. A chaff cutter is stationary equipment used on the farm to chop forage that has already been harvested. Many farms use both: the harvester for the silage season and a chaff cutter for daily feeding.

Can a forage harvester replace a combine harvester?

No — they do different jobs. A combine separates grain and leaves stover behind; a forage harvester keeps the whole plant and chops it into feed. If your goal is livestock feed rather than grain sales, the forage harvester captures far more usable tonnage per hectare.

What engine and drive system does it use?

A YC6A180Z-T21 diesel engine rated 130 kW (180 PS) at 2300 rpm, with hydrostatic stepless drive and four-wheel drive. Travel speed reaches 20 km/h on the road and 2–4 km/h in the field. See the full technical specifications.

What after-sales support and spare parts do you provide?

Every machine bought from Golden Machinery comes with a lifetime supply of quality, fairly priced spare parts. We recommend a starter kit of wear parts with your order, and our engineers support operation and maintenance remotely by video and WhatsApp.

How long does delivery take, and how is it packed?

Standard delivery time is 3–4 weeks from order confirmation. The machine is shipped in seaworthy wooden-case packing to protect it on long sea routes to Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
